Joseph S. Bolettieri is a native son of Canarsie, Brooklyn in NYC.

Born on April 5th, 1946, “Joe B”, as he was known by his friends and coworkers, spent close to 4 decades in the shipping business and was a loyal employee for such companies as U.S. LINES and CMA CGM. On September 11th, 2001 he narrowly escaped the fall of the Twin Towers. After alerting his coworkers to flee the building, he safely made it with them to the Brooklyn Bridge, covered from head to toe in dust and debris.

With his good looks, adorable smile and amazing blue eyes, Joe was known as quite the charmer. For what he lacked in size was made up for by his tremendous heart, huge spirit and his know no bounds generosity and kindness.

Joe was a diehard fan of the NY YANKEES and the NY GIANTS and was the Team Mascot for the Brooklyn Softball Championship Team, JOE’S BAR OF AVENUE U. He was famous with his teammates for the well-stocked cooler he brought to every game, which either “soothed” the occasional loss or greatly “enhanced” every win. Back in the day, his pool parties were legendary – where he was known as The Master of the Blender – by all who were fortunate to be in his company.

Joseph S. Bolettieri passed away on Wednesday March 6th, 2019. He is survived by his grieving family and friends and he will truly be missed by everyone… including ALL of the Ladies at CentraState Medical Ctr. and CareOne of Jackson. He was 72 years old.
