Joseph is survived by his wife, Kelly S. Myers of Clarksburg, WV; son, James D. Hurst & his wife, Brittany Hope Hurst of Buckhannon, WV; a granddaughter, Zoey Lynn Esquer of Buckhannon, WV; brother-in-laws, Jay Bee Waldren of Clarksburg, WV and Allen Simms & his wife, Sue of Etters, PA; sister-in-laws, Debbie Mitchell & her husband, Mike Mitchell of Lenoir, NC, and Donna Chipps & her husband, David M. Chipps of Clarksburg, WV; nieces, Sonjia D. Cottrill & her fiancé, Will Williams of Clarksburg, WV and Aleashia Ramsey & her husband, Ricky of Lenoir, NC; a nephews, Brandon Chipps of Clarksburg, WV; great nieces, Brooklyn Ramsey of Lenoir, NC and Kylee Ramsey of Lenoir, NC; great nephews, Vincent Richard Cottrill of Kenova, WV and Seth Taylor Young of Reedsville, WV; and his special cousin, Flo McCarthy of Gastonia, NC.
God has taken one of his number one Angels, Joseph Richard Myers. Joe was a great man, loved by his friends, family and co-workers. Joseph was a beloved husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather and a good friend to many. He was a humble, caring, giving and grateful being, the type of person that would give his all to help another and expect nothing in return. Joe was a diehard WVU fan, a hard worker, and an all-around wonderful person to know. He shall be greatly missed, always loved and surely never forgotten.
