Joseph “Joey” Raymond Parks entered this world on December 18th 1987, @ 1:51AM, and changed love as we knew it. He unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday October 27th 2020.
Upon Graduation in 2006, Joey briefly traveled before settling down and becoming a father in the Utica/Rome area. Joseph had a passion for life and a smile that would lighten and be remembered by anyone blessed enough to experience it. Like a man on a mission and always striving for new and better, Joey learned the ins and outs of the Meat industry, leading to a career as an assistant meat supervisor at Price Chopper and lastly Hannaford’s. He also had a passion for sports and was an avid RAIDERS and Yankees fan and had a love for Harleys.
Joseph is survived by his beloved mother, Serena VanTine Hughes and step father David Hughes; father Tommy Joe Parks and Sue Knapp; sons, Lorenzo Joseph and Rosario Joseph Parks; fiancée, Helena Gualtieri,; sisters, Sarah VanTine, Kalah (Tyler) Quinn & Lorrin Parks; brother, Levi Parks; nephews Bradlee & Orrin Wyman; grandmother, Donna Manwarren VanTine, Tammy & Joe Gualtieri, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and step siblings. Joey was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Terry VanTine, paternal grandparents, Orrin and Rhoda Parks and paternal uncle, Dale Parks.
