Joseph R. Marcinkus, 64, of Spring Valley, passed away, Thursday night, September 22, 2011 at his home. Mr. Marcinkus was born on March 11, 1947 in Boston, MA to Albin and Jeanette (Kanarkiewicz) Marcinkus. He married Esther Anne Grace on August 25, 1968 at St. George Church in Lynn, MA.
He was a merchandise analyst for Sears for more than 40 years. He serviced in the National Guard during Vietnam. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Spring Valley and was a Red Cross Volunteer delivering meals-on-wheels. Joe was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife Esther of Spring Valley; two sons, Brian J. (Shannon) Marcinkus of Tonica and Eric J. (Kelly) Marcinkus of Montgomery, IL; 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Sara, Jack, Lindsey; one brother, Michael F. (Carol) Marcinkus of Ellsworth, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Walter Marcinkus, and brother in-law James Grace.
