COLEBROOK –CORNELIO – Joseph R. Cornelio, Jr., passed away on October 23, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on May 25, 1929 in Winsted; the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Gozzo) Cornelio. He was a United States Navy Veteran, 1946-1948. He was also a diehard New York Yankees fan for many years. On November 11, 1964, Joe and his partner, Richard Munzner, opened a Coin and Antique store known as Laurel City Coin & Antiques. Joe worked there even after his retirement in 1992, up until also three months before he passed away. He leaves behind, Richard; a sister, Amelia Nevine of Torrington; and many nieces and nephews.
