Joseph Pisani, 92, formerly of Lucien Drive, Hamden passed away Sept. 5, 2012 in Highland Health Care in Cheshire after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Dea Lombardi Pisani. Mr. Pisani was born in New HavenOct. 25, 1919, son of the late Antonio and Adolorata (Dora) Ciccarelli Pisani. He worked at the Supreme Headquarters of the Knights of Columbus in New Haven for many years. In his younger days, he was Statewide Table Tennis Champion. He is a Past Grand Knight of San Salvador Council No. 1, Knights of Columbus; was awarded an Honorary Life Membership in the Knights of Columbus by past Supreme Knight, Virgil Dechant and received the Gold Ring Award from the New Haven Boys and Girls Club Alumni in 2000. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Lawrence Pisani of Hamden and his niece, Doretta Sweeney of North Haven. He was predeceased by his sister, Concetta DiNello.
