Joseph Phillip Gay, 68, of Youngsville, NC passed away at his home on August 28, 2007.
Joe was born on February 22, 1939, in Tarboro, NC. He retired after 40 plus years in the HVAC business primarily with ALCO Controls. He enjoyed working on woodcrafts, gardening, cooking, fishing, and caring for his home.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Patricia P. Gay; three children, Eric P. Gay & wife Stephanie, Jerry F. Gay and Michelle G. Nipper & husband Steve; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Gay, Tyler Sauls, Hailey and Joshua Nipper; three brothers, William L. Gay & wife Betty, Edward R. Gay & wife Betty Rae and Spencer W. Gay & wife Jackie. His father-in-law, Maurice L. Phillips & companion Chase; sister-in-law, Janice M. Cure & husband J.R.; numerous nieces and nephews. Also his beloved canine companion “Trudy.”
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Wickham O’Neal and three very dear friends, Frank Yow, Royce Johnson and J.C. Loveland.
