Joseph P. Todd, 97, of Newnan, Georgia passed away on August 13, 2017, at Insignia Personal Care facility surrounded by his loving wife and family. Joseph was the son of the late Samuel Luther and Mary Jennie Smith Todd. Also preceding him in death were his brothers; Robert, Harry, James and Phil Todd and sister; Dorothy Todd Askew. Joseph served in the US Navy and was assigned to and was at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, during the Japanese attack. Once his tour of duty was over, Joseph hired on with Southern Railway and stayed with them until his retirement in the 70’s. Surviving is his wife, Elizabeth Johnson Todd, Sons; J. Patrick “Pat” (Merry) Todd, John L. Todd, Daughters; Elizabeth “Beth” T. (Phil) McCoy and Jennie T. (Sid) Underwood, Four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
