Joseph P. Santini a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. So, we walk, again and again. No grass grew under Joseph P. Santini’s feet, he was always active. Whether it was on the links, working on cars, hitting the gym, greeting friendly faces at the local Home Depot, or creating using his woodworking skills. Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. Recently, he reveled in being “Pop” to his two grandchildren- Tristan Santini and McKinley Sean Manning. Joe was gregarious, loyal, and amicable. Joe will be remembered for his wit and sarcasm. His devotion to his wife, Beth. The many projects and hobbies he shared with his son Eric. And for excelling in the role of Stepfather to Mark and Sean – a role not easily mastered.
Joe was born in New York City but spent most of his life in Philly. He graduated from Temple University where he would fondly recall memories of singing and playing his guitar in local lounges and bars. Joe was an engineer by trade and worked as a project superintendent as part of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Local 1050 in Philadelphia. Joe was known for his positive, friendly, and outgoing demeanor- he was a past president of The Original Garden State Corvette Club and an avid golfer at Pennsauken Country Club. He also enjoyed long rides on his bicycle – most notably attending the Philadelphia International Championship in Manayunk each year.
Joe is the son of the late Peter & his late wife Vincenza (nee LaScalla) Santini and is survived by his wife Beth Santini (nee Wilkins). He is the father of Eric & his wife Karen Santini, Mark & his wife Caitlin Manning, and the late Sean Manning. He is the proud grandfather of Tristan Santini and McKinley Sean Manning. Joe is also survived and will be sadly missed by his lifelong friends John Chobert and Jim Maguire. Our family would like to acknowledge and gratefully thank Virtua Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation – Barrington for their care, concern, and confidence in Joe’s recovery.
