Joseph Phil Marshall, 81 passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Brigham City, Utah.
Joseph was born August 17, 1938 in Logan, Utah the son of Fred and Relda Marshall.
He married his sweetheart Sharon Turman December 6, 1956. He and Sharon were married for 59 year and lived in Brigham City for 50 years. She passed away June 4, 2016.
He was a jack of all trades and pursued many different careers including: the US Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Hill Air Force Base employee, Mim’s Bar and Grill (bar tending and cook), Brigham City Corp as the water superintendent, 7-11 and Flying J service station employee, and ending with 20 years working for Browning Firearms as resident gun expert. He was also a gun smith and former owner of Joe’s Gun Shop in Brigham City, Utah. Joe attended Weber State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Joe served his county during the Cold War in the Air Force from 1957 to 1965. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Joe’s hobbies included: caring for his gun collection, war movies, cop shows, and all things John Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; his parents, Fred and Relda Marshall; his sisters, Norma Brown, Carole Bullick and Roma Marshall; his brothers, Bill Marshall and Lon Marshall; two grandchildren, Carson James and Mindy Ellis.
