Joseph Orlando Egidi, 89, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday January 15, 2009.
He has joined his son Joseph D. Egidi, his two daughters, Rose and Catherine Egidi and his great grandson Joseph Saladin for eternal rest.
Joseph was born on September 29, 1919 in Chicago, IL and raised in West Virginia. Mr. Egidi was a decorated World War II US Army 82nd Airborne veteran, whom received two purple hearts, a bronze star and numerous campaign medals.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Rachel (Mego) Egidi; his daughters, MaryAnn Senesac of MA and Irene Nadeau and Doreen Vontell both of Bristol; several grand and great grandchildren and also Pete Vontell, his son-in-law and friend for 30 years.
