On September 23, 2011 Joseph J. Also known as “Mr. Joe”, age 91, of Baltimore, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Schuykill Medical Center in Pottsville, Pa. He was born March 8, 1920 in New Philadelphia, Pa.. Mr. Meros was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation Shipyard in Baltimore as a welder from 1941 until 1982. He served in the United States Navy overseas in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish. He is the beloved son of the late Veronica (nee Czahor) and Anthony Meros. Dear brother of Chester,and Edward J. Meros, Esq., Virginia Doran of Port Carbon, Pa. and Eleanor Barone, and the late Andrew, Michael, John and Theodore Meros and Sadie Stout. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Beloved companion of the late Doris Beecher and her surviving family.
