Joseph Michael Swann I, better known to all as “Captain Swannie”, age 63, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2019.
Joseph was born to Phillip and Dora Swann in Newburg, Maryland. He moved to Port St. Lucie from Hawaii in 1994. Swannie was a boat captain in the commercial swordfishing industry for over 30 years. He had a heart of gold and would literally give you the shirt off his back. Swannie had a wicked sense of humor and enjoyed a good prank.
Joseph was the devoted and loving husband of Anna-Maria “Charlie” Pacella-Swann for the past 30 years; beloved father of Joseph Michael Swann II; brother of Vincent Montello Jr., Linda Czar, Phyllis Kirchberg, Estelle Capendiere, Kay Gregor, Patsy Popp, Margie Boyer, Jimmy, Billy, Larry, Donald, the late Phillip Bernie, the late David, and the late Ginger Swann; brother in law of John and Theresa Straniero; stepfather of Stephanie Andrade; and adored grandfather of Ruben and Giovanni.
