Joseph Michael Meitl Jr. passed away on March 10, 2022. Joseph was born on July 15, 1998, in Geneva, Illinois to Joseph and Cheryl (Wriske) Meitl Sr., who moved to Colorado in 2011. Joe was the oldest of five boys and was always a very loving and protective big brother to his siblings. He met the love of his life, Taylor (Kremer) Meitl in 2017, and they married on May 19, 2020.
Joe and his brothers enjoyed doing things together such as hiking, camping, four-wheeling through the homemade mud pit, and just every day hanging out. Joe would take long drives into the mountains and find some out-of-the-way place to hike and rock climb. He also enjoyed taking his dogs Titian and Zero for walks.
Joe was fascinated with tanks and the Army. He ended up joining the US Army in May of 2020 and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Taylor (Kremer) Meitl; father, Joseph Metil Sr.; mother, Cheryl Meitl; brothers, Keith Meitl, Kevin Meitl, Karl Meitl, and James Meitl; grandmother, Lydia Meitl; as well as many aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis Meitl and William and Anita (Plangger) Wriske Sr.; and uncle, Keith Wriske.
