Joseph John McBride, 61, a life long resident of Southport/Fairfield, died
suddenly at home, Wednesday, (January 18, 2006).Joseph was born December 9, 1944 in Bridgeport and was the beloved son of the late G. Richard and Helen
(Quenk) McBride, and his longtime companion and best friend Rosemarie
DeWinters. He was a graduate of Rodger Ludlowe High School class of 1962
and attended Marshall University of Huntington, West Virginia, and was a
Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Ever since he was a young boy,
Joe had been an avid Ham Radio Operator and Shortwave Radio enthusiast.
