On April 26, 2021 Joseph Matthew Powell, Sr. passed away; devoted husband of June Powell (nee Kennedy); beloved father of Joseph M. Powell Jr. and his wife Sharon, Tim C. Powell and his wife Carole, and Greg S. Powell and his wife Christine; loving “Pop” of Christopher, Sara, Tim Jr., Melanie, Rebecca, Nicholas and Lauren; cherished great-“Pop” of Synnove, Aiden and Cecilia; dear brother of the late Robert Powell, Jr., and the late Thomas Powell.
Joseph was a life long committed volunteer serving such organizations as: St. Clare Church, Holy Name Society, founding member of the Essex Chapter of Citizens on Patrol, was a former scout master for Troop 778 and also was a Essex youth league soccer coach in addition to others.
