Joe graduated from Lake County High School, Leadville, in May 1967. He attended Mesa Jr College in
Grand Junction, Colorado from September 1968 until 1970.
In September 1969 Joe and Chery eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada. The marriage ended in divorce after 17
years, but three beautiful children blessed the family, a daughter and twin sons.
