Joseph Lee Efird, 83, of Albemarle, passed away on January 18, 2023 at his home.
He was born on April 6, 1939 in Albemarle, NC to the late Luther B. Efird and the late Maggie Lee Efird.
Mr. Efird was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Dale Efird, brother, Edward Efird, and a granddaughter, Lindsey W. Efird.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruby Dick Efird; daughter, Marla (Johnny) Caudle of Albemarle, NC and son, Mark (Amanda) Efird of Lewisville, NC; grandchildren, Ashley (Thomas) Broshart of Albemarle, NC, Crista (Nick) Aldridge of Albemarle, NC, EmmaVanHorn of Lewisville, NC. and Hannah Efird; great-grandchildren, Kanten Holmes, Kiley Holmes, Dale Aldridge and Maggie Aldridge.
Joseph was part owner of Efird’s Nursery and Farm of Albemarle. He also enjoyed gardening, his scroll saw work, and feeding his birds. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church of Albemarle where he sang in the choir for 80 years.
