Son of the late Gaetano and Antoinetta (DeQuattro) Cascone, he born in Lawrence and grew up on a family farm located on Oak Street in Methuen.
In 1943, he entered the U.S. Army. In early 1945, he deployed to Europe and served with Headquarters Co.
