Joseph Keesling, 88, of Pendleton, passed away October 18, 2015 at his residence in Pendleton, IN. He was born July 28, 1927 in Markleville, Indiana and resided most of his life in Pendleton. Joseph graduated from Markleville High School in 1945. He was a lifetime farmer in Madison County. He also drove a school bus for South Madison Community Schools for 28 years.

Joseph served his country in the United States Army. Joseph is survived by his children, Jim (Sandy) Keesling, of Pendleton daughter, Rita Weir, of Pendleton sister, Nora Harris of Anderson, grandchildren, Kenneth Brian Weir of Greenfield, Laura Weir of Shirley, Darla (Tom) Kottlowski of Fountaintown, Kendra (Zachary) Seal of Markleville, Lindsey (Matt) Shaffer of Fishers, ten great-grandchildren, and one due in May.

He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann Keesling, parents, Herman Russell Keesling and Ruth Williams Keesling-Dane, two sisters, Helen Craig and Mable Reedy, and a brother, Fredrick Keesling.
