Joseph J. Martin Joseph John Martin, 65, of Brookfield, husband of Susan (Baker) Martin, died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Bethel Health Care, Bethel, CT Mr. Martin was born in Yonkers, NY, September 29, 1947, son of Joseph and Marsha (Lamberto) Martin. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, NY. After high school, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and served in Vietnam where he was wounded and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was employed as a carpenter at Danbury Hospital for 22 years. Joe had been a resident of the Danbury area for the past 35 years. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Joe was an original Super Sunday participant at Marcus Dairy, a member of the Connecticut Cruise News Minuteman Riders and an original member of the Exit 3 Motorcycle Organization. Joe was predeceased by his father, Joseph John Martin and his brother, Warren Martin, both of Yonkers, NY. Joe is survived by his wife, Susan (Baker) Martin of Brookfield; his mother, Marsha Martin of Yonkers, NY; his brother, Gary and his wife, Maria and their children, Joey, Christina and Lauren of Kissimmee, FL; his sister, Marybeth who resides in the Bronx and numerous nieces and nephews in Yonkers, NY. He is also survived by his much loved extended family. Evie and Lou Bottali and their children, Matt and Jenny of Ridgefield, CT and Tom and Pat Baker of Raymond, NH.
