Joseph “Joey” Eugene Clark Jr. passed away on October 22, 2020 while staying with his daughter in Amarillo, Texas. Joey was born on June 12, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to Joseph Sr. and Loyce Clark.  He attended John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, where he served as the self-proclaimed “class clown.” Following graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force in January 1961 and served overseas; he worked as a veterinary tech and also trained sentry dogs (the Air Force’s “Guardians of the Night!”). During his 11 years and 9 months of service to our country, he was awarded a medal for good conduct and received a longevity service award. Joey was a small business owner of Alabama Scientific Company before he retired. He loved to bowl, travel, and cook, especially mastering his BBQ smoking skills.  He also loved watching Alabama football, Nascar, and pretty much any sport.  Joey enjoyed laughing and making jokes and was always the one to find humor in almost any situation. He knew no stranger; everyone was his friend within minutes of meeting him. Joey is survived by his six children, whom he loved dearly – Monica Leslie (Chris) of Mobile, AL; Michelle Clark of Mobile, AL; Joseph Tabor Clark (Melissa) of Amarillo, TX; Jason Clark (Julie) of Celina, TX; Neely Clark of Amarillo, TX; and Elizabeth Stenman (Corey) of Denver, CO.  Joey also has eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
