Joseph “Joe” (Big Hawk) R. Sampson Jr.,19, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. Joe was born May 9, 2002. Joe was very artistic and creative. He loved videography, creating many scenes and villages with his Godzilla and King Kong figures. Joe was a huge Godzilla fan. His hobbies include Paranormal, Godzilla, walking with his mentor, Don Love, solving the problems of the day, Native American music and dancing. Joe is a descendant of the Sand Creek Massacre. He is the great- great-nephew of Seven Bulls and the great-grandson of Chief Eagleman. Joe was a True Blue Central Wildcat, looking forward to the Annual Bell Game. Joe is survived by his grandma, Yolanda “Cries Alone”, who raised him from infancy; his birth father, Joseph Randall Sampson Sr.; Oklahoma siblings, Deidra, Sierra “Rose”, Rodney, Byron, Ashley, OT, Tara, Nicole and Benjamin; his Colorado siblings, Heather “Little Ray of Sunshine”, Brian “Cedar Smoke”, Marcus “Red Sky”, Krista “Dawn”, Michaela “Indian Perfume”, Erika “Red Leaf” and Eric “Black Bird”; his best friend,Ciaran Atwood; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Joe is also survived by numerous caregiver’s, Don, Laurie, Lavonne, Kat, Nancy, Molly, Janelle, Judy, Raydean and Chris Clark, just to name a few. He was preceded in death by his birth mother. Pamela Rose Turtle; sister, Courtney “Candy Fire;” grandparents, Alba “White Thunder” Dyer, Pearly, Sampson, Orin Turtle and Samuel “Big Hawk” Dyer. The family would like to thank the numerous caregiver’s in Joe’s life, the Parkview Trauma Unit staff, the awesome staff at Central High School, especially Mrs. Mehess, Ms. Johnson, Mr. Hatchett, Mrs. Huffman, Mrs. Medina and Mr.
