Joseph Jesus Borjon,69, affectionately known as “Joey” passed away Jan. 17, 2022. A lifetime Puebloan he was born July 25, 1952 to Marylou Bueno and Teto Trujillo who precede him in death along with grandfather, Feliz Borjon, and father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Arthur and Frances Maestas; sister-in-law Helen Martinez. He was a security guard at Central High School for 30 years and 18 years at St. Mary Corwin. He was a pillar in the athletic community. He officiated 32 State Championship games, and umpired baseball for generations of athletes. He was well respected for his work with athletic accomplishments throughout the community and was mentor to many students. Joey was a friend to many. His most cherished role was the family man he was. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his everything. Joey leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Rita E. Borjon, children; Buddy, Ann, and Josh; grandchildren, Hannah, Brooklyn, Remi, Avery, and Bostyn; sisters, Doris, Tina, and Lena; brother; Manuel Navarro; uncle, Dan Rosales; and in-laws, Mike Maestas Patty Hernandez, Steve, Tony, Kenny, Mike, and Arthur Maestas; numerous family members; colleagues  at St. Mary Corwin; and friends.
