New Iberia, LA – Joseph Jerald LeBlanc, Sr, age 76, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 14, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. During his many years in the Oilfield, he was a Rigger, Chef, and Baker. The hobbies he enjoyed were photography, gardening and woodworking.
Mr. LeBlanc is survived by his partner Tommy DeCoux of New Iberia; his son, Gerald J. LeBlanc, Jr., of Carencro; his daughter, April Deaton of New Iberia; sisters, Shirley Billot (Charlie) of Houma; Louise Blanchard (Bert) of Breaux Bridge; Betty Aucoin of Charenton; Donna Bonin of St. Martinville; and Mae Rose Domingue (Patrick) of Plaucheville. Grandchildren, Carter Tinsley , Georgetown, Texas and Ricky Gachassin, Jr. of Broussard; Great Grandchildren Owen and Caroline Gachassin of New Iberia.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Aristelle LeBlanc and Arthmise Boudreaux LeBlanc, his brothers Don LeBlanc, Daniel LeBlanc, Dieudonna (Doc) LeBlanc, Steven LeBlanc; and his son-in-law Michael Deaton.
