Plymouth – Joseph James Turmel, age 76, passed away Friday January 1, 2016 at Cook-Willow Convalescent Hospital in Plymouth. Mr. Turmel was born August 6, 1939 in Waterbury to the late Wilfred and Margaret (Griffin) Turmel. He was a retired truck driver having worked for Dunham Craft, Aljim and J.E. Smith.
Mr. Turmel is survived by his daughters: Tami Wiesniak of Oxford and Dawn Genereux of Oakville; his sisters: Ann Fontano, Ruth Buccini, Carol Anderson, Judy Tartaro and Geraldine Hawks; his brothers: Richard Turmel, Ronald Turmel, Francis Turmel and David Turmel; and three grandchildren: Mark Genereux, Zachary Genereux and Kayla Wiesniak. Mr. Turmel was predeceased his sisters, Mary Fortier and Joan Strumpf.
