Joseph J. Pinto, of Burlington Township, died on Friday, November 28, 2008 at his daughter’s residence at the age of 88. Mr. Pinto was born in Burlington and remained a life long Burlington resident. He was a graduate of Burlington High School and he served in the U S. Army during World War Two. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, in Burlington, for over fifty years.

He owned and operated Joseph Pinto, Inc. Hardware Store, in Roebling, for sixty years. Husband of the late Mary J. (nee DeGregorio), he is survived by his children and their spouses, Anna M. Duncan, of Burlington Township, Joseph M. and Karen Pinto, of Medford, and Michelle E. and Timothy Kearns, of Medford, his grandchildren, Joseph J. Pinto, Michael Pinto, Carrie and Patrick Duncan-Mansfield, and John and Grace Kearns. He is also survived by his sister, Katherine Cartwright, of Connecticut, as well as many nieces and nephews, loyal customers and friends.
