Joseph J. Letitia, Sr., 85, of Plainville, passed away on Thursday November 3, 2011 at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 52 years to Italia (Berloni) Letitia. Joseph was born on February 12, 1926 in New Britain to the late Peter and Rose Letitia.
Joseph served his country in the United States Navy and then went on to work at the Department of Corrections from 1953-56.
Along with his loving wife Italia, he leaves his 4 sons Joseph J. Letitia, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Knoxville, TN and their children Henry, August and Maddie; Mark Letitia of Plainville; Todd Letitia and his wife Heidi of West Boylston, MA and their son Elijah; and Wayne Letitia and his wife Molly of Hamden and their children Sophia Rose, Vivien Kay and Gabriel. He also leaves a sister Florence Connelly of Plainville; sisters-in-law Emma Berloni of New Britain and Eleanor Berloni of Old Lyme.
