Joe died peacefully after a 4 month battle with metastatic lung cancer. He was surrounded by his wife Shirley, his brother, David, his 2 daughters, Timmery Summerall and Danette Terry, his son-in-law Randy Summerall and his 7 grandchildren.
Joe was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Dorothy and Lyman Terry. He grew up in Great Bend Kansas and was the eldest of 6 children – 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Joe graduated from Great Bend High School in 1961, attended Fort Hays State and very proudly served in the United States Army from 1964-1970.
