Joseph H. Naderman, 66, Millhousen, left this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Center in Columbus with friends and cousins at his side.
Born, December 4, 1946 in Decatur County, Indiana, the only child of Henry B. and Marie J. (Preuss) Naderman. His parents preceded him in death.
Joe dedicated his life to caring for his parents. He cared for his mother until she passed on October 11, 2012 at the age of 103.
Joe was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen, Indian. He served on multiple committee over the years, the current being the cemetery board.
Joe was always honored to be asked to serve at funeral masses and he served at many.
Joe joined the National Guard with his best friend, Roy Schebler after graduating from Jac-Cen-Del High School in 1965. After his return to Millhousen, he joined his father in farming the small family farm.
Joe never retired from farming. Never to be one to chase after modern ways of agriculture, Joe made a comfortable living for his mother and himself after his father died in 1983.
For many years, Joe and his parents routinely attended most area church picnics within a day’s drive. They were known in the neighborhood for their love of Euchre. After his mother’s death, Joe enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He seldom turned down a meal or party invitation. He spent Holidays with neighbors and would quietly sit and smile as the little ones opened gifts or chased throughout the yard hunting Easter eggs.
Joe’s innocent smile will be missed by his many friends and cousins.
