Joseph Glenn Turner, 65, of Raleigh passed away peacefully Monday morning August 22, 2022 at the Alamance Regional Hospital in Burlington with his wife by his side. He was born in Raleigh son of the late Anna Laura Lane Turner and Daniel Mathew Turner. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved “Granny” Anna Mae Lane.
Glenn was a retired truck driver. He drove his entire adult life. Glenn had a strong work ethic and made many friends along the way. Glenn loved fishing, trips to the lake, beach and mountains. He liked traveling even when he wasn’t working. Glenn was an avid NC State fan and enjoyed attending NASCAR races. He was very proud of his family, enjoying time with his wife, daughters and their families including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Glenn loved attending church at Fletcher’s Chapel and his church family.
Glenn is survived by his wife; Kathy Turner; his daughters, Shannon Cockrell (Chad) and Sarah Pigott (Codie); grandchildren, Ashleigh (Levi), Hayleigh, Morgan, Maddie and Nolan; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Colton, Dacsun and Braydon; sister, Louise Wilder and brother, Wayne Turner and a loving extended family.
