Joseph D. Gannacci, 90 of Berkeley Township formerly of Middlesex died January 10, 2019. He was born April 4, 1928 in Plainfield New Jersey to the late Nicholo Gannacci and Concetta Fabrocini Gannacci. Joe was deeply loved by his family and friends for his warm, kind and gentle spirit. He was the comedian of the family whose smile would light up the room. Joe was loved and adored by his siblings and all his nieces and nephews of his large Italian family. His greatest joy was attending family events with his loving wife, Louise, always by his side.

Joe loved being with the family for holidays, celebrations, milestones, Sunday night dinners or just a visit for a cup of coffee. Known as the “family helper” he was always there, with Louise by his side, when a family member was ill or needed assistance. Very proud of his Italian heritage, his favorite meal was a huge bowl of delicious homemade pasta and a nice glass of red wine. Known as the well-dressed man with the signature mustache, he had a passion for dancing and being with his family. Joe served his country in the United States Marine Corps in China immediately after World War II. He was called again to serve, within the states, during the Korean War. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents and sister, Phyllis DelliSanti. Joseph is survived by his devoted wife, Louise Soletto Gannacci; sister, Mary DiPace of Scotch Plains; sister-in-laws, Virginia Mastriana and her husband Joseph of Freehold; Bertha Soletto of Manahawkin and many nieces and nephews that he loved and adored as if they were his own children.
