Joseph Carpenter Age 57 of Houston, TX spread his wings and departed this life on Saturday, January 3, 2021. He was born in Flint, Michigan on December 21, 1963 to Kattie Fenner Carpenter and the late James A. Carpenter. “Joey”, as affectionately called by those who loved him, leaves to mourn his loving mother Kattie F. Carpenter of Nashville, TN; devoted sister Jacqueline “Jackie” Carpenter (Robert Chesterfield) of Houston, TX; niece Shamiso Carpenter and nephew James Carpenter of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his Aunts; Ruth Boyd of Jamaica, NY; Agnes Haddox (late, Fred Haddox) of Franklin, TN; Joyce Jamison of Memphis, TN; Brenda Carpenter of Memphis, TN; and Lucille Fenner (late, Bill Fenner) of Clarksville, TN. Uncles: George Fenner (Monica) of Detroit, MI; and Greg Carpenter of Memphis, TN. Special Cousin Rodney Boyd and a host of other relatives and friends.
Joey was ill for many years, but he has his wings now and has left that illness behind to be with Christ. Philippians 3:21 NLT “He will take over our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.” He will truly be missed and loved dearly by his family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held in Houston, TX at a later date.
