Joseph F. Vita, 58, of Bristol, husband of Mary Jane (Pennington) Vita, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at New Britain General Hospital. Joseph was born August 2, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Nicholas and Esther (Frascone) Vita.
Joseph was employed by the Crowley Auto Group. He was a graduate of St. Thomas Moore Catholic High School, and St. Joseph University in Philadelphia. Joseph was an avid chef, and enjoyed following the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Phillie’s. His grandson Joey Payes was the light of his life.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tracy Trainer and her husband Edward of Westgrove, PA, two sons, Matthew C. Payes of Chandler, AZ, and Mark C. Payes and his wife Valerie of Bear DE., a sister, Lucille Vita of Sea Isle City, NJ, his grandchildren, Joseph Michael Payes, Ryan and Allison Yeager, 10 brothers and sisters-in-law, a daughter, Diana Yeager and her husband Rory of Delaware, his faithful dogs, Rudy and Andy, and a brother, Nick Vita of Bristol. He was predeceased by a son, Michael C. Payes.
