Joseph F. Neumon, age 94, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to the late Helen Peetz Neumon, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Milford Health Care Center. Born on July 15, 1917 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Joseph Steven and Susie E. Hart Neumon. Joseph served in the US Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he was employed as a purchasing agent for GE for over 45 years. Joseph enjoyed woodworking, photography and loved tending his garden.
He is survived by his three sons, Joseph F. Neumon, Jr (Anna), Alfred Neumon (Joyce) and Ronald Neumon (Fran Zinzi), his cherished grandchildren, Major Benjamin Neumon (Leigh), Attorney John Neumon (Dr. Christine Kennedy), Patty Plescia (Fred), Cheryl Takacs (Rob), Karin Watts (Dwayne), Laura Neumon and Craig Neumon and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Helen of 68 years, he was predeceased by his sister Marie Vitale and brother Bert Neumon.
