Joseph F. Jean of Bay City, Michigan passed away early Saturday morning September 20, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 91 years. The son of the late Franklin and Clara (Nicholas) Jean was born November 2, 1922 in Caseville, MI and has resided in Bay City most of his life. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, the Knights of Columbus Council 2740, VFW Kawkawlin Linwood Post 6950 and the American Legion Post 18 and retired as a die cast operator from General Motors Co. Bay City Plant. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII, he enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, hunting and fishing. On February 15, 1947 he married the former Bernice Rose Ayotte and she survives his passing along with seven children and their spouses; Roger (Margaret) Jean, Allen (Joann) Jean, David (Debra) Jean, James (Joyce) Jean, Beverly (Bernard) Murphy, Barbara (Jerome) Swiecicki, Dale Jean and Cathi Jean, thirty grandchildren, forty seven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by, one son; John Jean, three grandsons and two granddaughters, one brother; Lee A. Jean and one sister; Margaret Heck.
