HAVERHILL- Joseph E. Giampa, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill.
He was born in Haverhill on February 19, 1944, son of Frank and Jean (McPhee) Giampa. Joe was raised and educated in Haverhill, graduating from the Haverhill Trade School. Following graduation, he spent his career working for Haverhill Boxboard until his retirement after 40 plus years of employment.
Joe was a member of the Garibaldi Club, where he loved playing 45’s and betting on the horses. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and 10 pin bowling. He also enjoyed taking rides along the shore of the beach with his daughter Rachel and live-in caregiver and family friend Betty, whom he would watch his weekly Saturday movies with.
