Joseph Dunn, 57, of Leonardo, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Joseph was born on October 19, 1963 in Red Bank, New Jersey and grew up in Atlantic Highlands. In the 1990’s he settled in Leonardo, where he was presently living with his beloved wife, Tracci. Throughout his life, Joseph worked as a self-employed plumber with his own plumbing company, Dunn-Rite Plumbing. Joseph was a very active member of his community. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 338 and was also the founder of the American Legion Riders for Post 338. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and was part of the Harborside Golf Crew. In addition, Joseph was a proud advocate for the Special Olympics.
He was predeceased by his father, John Robert Dunn, and his brothers, Patrick and Kevin Dunn. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife and companion of 21 years, Tracci Dunn, his loving sons, Russell and Shane Dunn, his adoring mother, Catherine (McNeil) Dunn, his dear sister, Cheryl Barraclough and her husband, Harry, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Raymond Hancock and Vanessa Mitchell, and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Joseph will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
