Joseph is survived by his loving spouse, Rita Ashby of Anderson, daughter, Pam Vicki Ashby of Alexandria, son, Douglas Ashby of Anderson, son, Mark Lena Holaday of Anderson, son, Charles Holaday of Alexandria, daughter, Kelly Ashby of Gahanna, OH, daughter, Robin Eytchison of Anderson, step-daughter, Darlene Gothard of Anderson, step-daughter, Sherilynn Gothard, step-daughter, Rebecca Hutchins of FL brother, Lee Mary Ellen Ashby of Pendleton, brother, James Jean Ashby of Anderson, also surviving 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and faithful dog Sammy.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, June Ashby, parents, Daisy E. and Lee V. Ashby, sister, Bonnie Daly and step-son, Michael Eaton.
