Joseph “Rick” Palermo, 67, of West Haven passed away on February 6, 2011. Born in New Haven son of the late Francis and Marion Oberson Palermo. He is survived by the love of his life Sujan “Cakes” Santanelli of West Haven, his son Joseph Palermo Jr. and Shane Baber, his daughters Dawn (Michael Nicolelli) Palermo, Melissa (Jim) Sheffler, Misty Santanelli all of West Haven and Barbara (Christopher) Anastasio of East Haven. He is also survived by his brothers Frank (Jacquelyn) Palermo Jr. of DE and the late Daniel Palermo, his sisters Elaine (Anthony) Martone of Northford and Mary Ann (Allen) Vitkauskas of FL., and his 8 grandchildren. Joe “Rick” was a hair stylist for many years. He first started in the business at Princess and most recently worked for Hair & Now and Head Company.
