HAVERHILL- Joseph D. Paulauskas, 95, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, December 8, 2012 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.
Joseph was born on November 3, 1917 in Haverhill, son of the late Peter and Anna (Yaciunskas) Paulauskas of Lithuania. He was raised in Haverhill and attended Haverhill Schools. Joseph is a Veteran of the United States Navy having served with the Naval Air Force. He was in the flight training program and became a pilot while serving. Joseph attended Virginia Tech and William and Mary College.
Mr. Paulauskas returned to Haverhill and began to raise his family with his devoted wife of 63 years, Jean M. (Kardek) Paulauskas.
