Joseph C. Lutz March 15, 1928 – November 26, 2016 Joseph Calvin Lutz of Meridian, Idaho but formerly of Holiday City South Section of Berkley Township, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Joe was born on March 15, 1928 in Manhattan, NY. Raised in New York City and Northern New Jersey, Joe lived in Cedar Grove, NJ most of his adult life until moving to Berkley Township in 2001 and then to Idaho earlier this fall. Joe was a graduate of Lodi High School. Joe proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He worked as a Tool and Die Maker, retiring from Automatic Switch Company in Florham Park, NJ. Joe greatly enjoyed his retirement at the Jersey shore. He loved spending time with his wife, Barbara, and traveling. Joe played bocce for many years until he moved to Idaho. Joe looked forward to spending time with his three grandkids and exploring Idaho on his many visits there. Joe was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Barbara, his parents, and his brother, Tom. He is survived by his daughter Mary and her husband, Peter as well as his son, Bill and his wife, Christine. Joe will be greatly missed by his three grandkids, Casey, Kevin, and Sean.
