Joseph (Joe) Craig Reyes, Jr., 63, was born on July 31,1959 and passed away on April 16, 2023. He was the first of seven children in the Reyes Family. Joseph was a track star in both high school and college, running hurdles at Auburn University in Alabama. Joseph held the title of Mr. Westchester and Mr. Apollo as a professional body builder, training with the likes of Lou Farigno. In addition, Joseph was also a Ford Agency model along with sister, Alicia, whose stunning good looks were captured in photos for national advertisements.
Joseph was a devout Christian and a man of God. He very much lived life the way he believed – do no harm and treated everyone fairly. His personality was infectious. Joe made everyone feel warm and included. Wherever he was, he was the host, and you were the revered guest.
Joseph was a father, big brother, uncle, cousin and good friend to many. Joe Reyes would go above and beyond to help anyone he could. He did not possess a bad bone in his body. His positive and joyful energy was felt the minute he walked into a room. He loved to spend time with family; his son, Davide, nieces, Alexa, Savonnah, and Summer, nephews, Skylar, and Sol, brothers, Rafael, Tony, Ramon, Franco and sister, Maria, as well as his dog, Lulu. He loved to roller-skate in Central Park and travel to Jamaica and California.
Joe Reyes is predeceased in death by his sister Alicia, and is survived by his son, Davide Rogue Reyes, his brothers Raphael, Antonio, Ramon, Francisco, and his sister Maria. He also held near and dear to his heart his loving soulmate, Kelli Knight. Ironically, it is now Joe’s turn to transition extremely too soon at the age of 63. May he rest peacefully in God’s kingdom with his mother Sandra, father Joseph Sr., his sister Alicia and the rest of his ancestors.
Godspeed Joseph! You are immensely loved and will be extremely missed. We love you Joey Boy, and will see you on the other side!
