Joseph C. Mansi , 98, husband of the late Vincenza Chirico Mansi, passed away peacefully at home in Bayside, NY on Sept 17, 2010. He was born in New Haven July 21, 1912 a son of the late Guiseppe and Matilda Mauro Mansi. First working as a presser he eventually retired as the owner and CEO of Terry Hill Inc. and Collegiate Casuals Inc., both major manufacturers of women’s clothing. He was also a Past Exalted Ruler of Queensboro Elks Lodge in Elmhurst, NY. Mr. Mansi is survived by his sons; Joseph A. (Mary) Mansi of Glen Cove, NY and Neal R. (Laura) Mansi of Dix Hills, NY. He was predeceased by brothers: Raymond and Salvatore Mansi, and sisters; Madeline Iadonisi, Anna Furino, and Catherine Abate. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
