He was one of the founding members of The Rev Masters Hot Rod Club of Portland and enjoyed building and racing cars and motorcycles. He won many trophies racing his Coupe at the Colchester Speedway. During this period, he utilized his carpentry skills to build a beautiful home in Portland and began to raise a family. Butch unfortunately suffered a diving accident, which left him disabled. With love and support from family and friends, Butch was still able to drive his Cadillac, go fishing and enjoy the rest of his life living at home. He loved the Red Sox, Patriots and UConn Basketball. He worked many years as an Estimator/Buyer for Hillside Industries and other various companies. Butch was an extremely generous man and loved helping others. He was known as the guy who would find you the lowest price on whatever you needed to buy. Butch’s family would also like to thank Joanna, Sue, Dorothy and all the dedicated nurses and caregivers who helped him in so many ways over the years. We are truly grateful.
