Joseph (Joby) B. Hyatt of Pataskala, Ohio passed away on June 21st, 2023, at the Kobacker House. Joby was born January 21st, 1953, to the late Joseph Hyatt and Eleanor O’Connell in New Rochelle, New York.
Joby is a member of the Archaeological Society of Ohio and will be remembered for his love of arrowhead hunting, wrestling coach for Watkins Memorial High School, making birdhouses and wood Christmas ornaments for family. No project was ever too big for the Mr. Fix it guy he was known as. He retired from Southwest Licking Community Water and Sewer District as a Water and Wastewater Operator.
Joby is survived by his loving spouse, Carla Hyatt; daughter, Nicole Patterson; grandchildren, Mercedes, and Nate Neil, and five great-grandchildren; siblings, sisters, Bonnie Hyatt Hansen (Dieter Hanson), Annabelle Hyatt Burton (Scott Burton); brothers, Bobby Hyatt (Cathy Hyatt) and Tom Hyatt; niece and Goddaughter, Bethany Thissen Thompson (John Thompson); brother-in-law, Tim Thissen; many nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister, Barbara Ann Hyatt Thissen.
