Joseph Bordes, 92 of Peru formerly of Chicago died July 2, 2015 in the Illinois Veterans Home at LaSalle.
Mr. Bordes was born in Chicago on March 15, 1923 to Dennis and Eleanor (Kerber) Bordes. He married Victoria Bordes in 1991. He served in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Bordes was an Engineer for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad from the age of 17 until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Victoria of Peru, one sister Eleanor (Alexander) LaLond of Florida, two sister-in-laws Gloria Bordes of Belvidere and Gloria L. Bordes of Des Plaines and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister Marion Malczyk and three brothers, Emil “Bo” Bordes, Morley and Marvin Bordes.
