Joseph B. Fleck III, 84, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Joseph was born on December 31, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Joseph B., Jr. and Eleanor (Archambeault) Fleck. On August 31, 1957 in Regina Coeli Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio he married Eleanor M. Fountain who survives. Joseph is also survived by two daughters, Althea L. (John) Price of North Liberty, Indiana, Linda A. (Patrick) Thorpe of St. Joe, Arkansas, one granddaughter, Kristen Price, two great-grandchildren, Kammie Leigh Almeida and Tara Dawn Harrison, two great-great grandchildren, Braxton and Braedon. Along with his parents, Joseph was also preceded in death by his brother David M. Fleck.
Joseph was a United States Army Veteran. Joseph and his wife Eleanor were members of Christ the King Catholic Church for almost fifty years. He was the past president of many clubs that included South Bend Snowmobile Club, South Bend Cruise Club, and Gypsy Rovers Camping Club. He was a member of various VFW organizations including posts in New Carlisle and North Liberty. He was an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Notre Dame fan.
