Joseph Anton Torchia, 90, of Peru, died April 12, 2010 at LaSalle Healthcare Center.
Mr. Torchia was born on September 9, 1919 in LaSalle to Manuel and Mary Ann (Dinoto) Torchia. He married Angeline Barbic on April 19, 1941 in LaSalle. He retired from Westclox in Peru after more than 44 years of employment and later worked for Mueller Funeral Homes for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Angeline; 5 children; James (Lee) Torchia of Theodore, AL, Gerald (Sue) Torchia of Guymon, OK, Dennis (Ana) Torchia of Windsor, CA, Marian (Dennis) Bezely of DePue, and Bonnie (Mark) Urbanowski of Iowa City, IA; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a brother Tony Torchia of Salvang, CA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and a sister in infancy.
