Joseph Allyn Morris, 58, of Jacksonville, died Jan. 12, 2009, at Passavant Area Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1950, in Jacksonville, the son of Richard and Helen Jennings Morris, and they preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his life partner, Mary B. Coats, and one daughter, Jennifer Rose Morris.
He is survived by one son and two daughters, William (Sarah) Morris of Meredosia, Marci Morris of Jacksonville, and Kimmy (Mike) Evans of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Devin Morris of Meredosia, Fred Schoondyke, IV, Jacob Morris, Katelin Adams and Tyler Morris, all of Jacksonville, and Jason Evans and Erica Evans, both of Franklin; six brothers and one sister, Ricky (Sandy) Morris, Dennis (Katie) Morris, Larry Michael Morris, John (Becky) Morris and Keith (Megan) Morris, all of Jacksonville, and Kelly (Tracy) Morris and Debbie Easley, both of Meredosia.
Mr. Morris enjoyed collecting everything, and was known as “the Collector” He loved to fish.
